Description:
TQ Education and Training is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies, both in the UK and overseas. As a result of continued growth and the acquisition of a new MoD Contract, we have an urgent requirement for an Apprenticeship Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of apprenticeships and related qualifications within the Royal Engineers in line with TQ's contract with the Army, and ensuring the delivery is compliant with all relevant standards. Additionally you will support the Contract Manager in the development of new apprentice frameworks. Duties will include:
- Ensuring all candidates' experience of apprenticeship programmes is of a consistently high quality throughout the contract and ensuring all candidates receive the support required to achieve their apprenticeship.
- Identifying and requesting appropriate staff development needs for staff and associates responsible for the delivery of the frameworks.
- Developing and maintaining the paperwork to support the recording and monitoring of learners' progress and to provide consistency of approach across the contract.
- Maintaining an up to date staff database.
- Ensuring that all candidates participate in the initial assessment and diagnostic process and ensuring all candidates have an appropriate induction and timely reviews.
- Monitoring the overall delivery of the apprenticeship frameworks to ensure timely completion of candidates and ensuring all delegates are registered with awarding bodies.
- Ensuring that all staff and associates are fully aware of, and comply with, the relevant quality assurance processes and effective management of all direct reports.
- Maintaining currency of knowledge to ensure that TQ is at the forefront of developments in vocational qualifications, and communicate this to the appropriate members of staff and associates.
Post Requirements:
Essential
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification, and relevant subject qualifications
- An understanding of contemporary developments in education particularly apprenticeships
- People-management experience and proven organisational ability
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a good sense of humour
- Highly organised and the ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to influence and motivate others
Desirable
- PGCE/CertEd, or working towards
- A1/V1 Awards, or willingness to work towards
- Management qualification
- Relevant experience in the industrial/commercial sector or military experience
- Good ICT skills and an effective networker
