TQ Education and Training Ltd to provide training to soldiers at the Royal School of Military Engineering in 30-year contract worth £116 million

TQ Education and Training Ltd, a leading provider of training and training management services, has secured a £116 million contract with Babcock Support Services Ltd to deliver technical training at the Royal School of Military Engineering.

TQ will provide a wide range of training in Heavy Construction Plant operation and maintenance together with Construction Project Management to soldiers at the Construction Engineer School in Medway, Kent, and the Combat Engineer School in Minley, Hampshire.

The RSME PPP Contract has been awarded to Holdfast Training Services, a consortium between Babcock and Carillion. The 30-year contract is for the provision of training and training support, infrastructure services and accommodation services to the RSME at Medway in Kent and Minley in Hampshire. Holdfast will also provide infrastructure services at Bicester in Oxfordshire. The contract is very good news for Defence, providing significant capital investment in soldier accommodation and allowing the MOD to provide training and training support in a more cost effective manner.
