Description

TQ Education and Training is a leading UK education and training provider offering premium educational services to customers worldwide. We are now 2+ years into a 5-year contract to deliver training services at the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic in Dammam where we deliver and assess English Language, Key Skills and Technical National Vocational Qualifications to NVQ Level 3 in the Petroleum Industry.

The project involves equipping and the setting up of the Polytechnicâs workshops, providing curriculum and accreditation to international standards and recruiting teaching and support staff to deliver the training and assessment programs, both in the training centre and also to trainees in the field.

For Year 3 of the contract we require a large number of additional bilingual technical trainers in the above disciplines to join our existing team, to be responsible for teaching all aspects of the Technical Training programs as assigned (at the Training Centre and On-The-Job-Training). You will be responsible for materials development and managing your program. The Instructor will also carry out assessing duties for the training programs.

Specific Duties:

-Lead the classroom development and on-going maintenance of all training programs, course materials (theoretical and practical), procedures and assessments to satisfy the client and Awarding Body requirements.
-Assist the senior instructor in selecting a suitable team of technicians.
-Ensure that the equipment in the workshops and laboratories are suitable and adequate.
-Deliver theoretical and practical training. Assess trainee portfolios to the agreed External Verifier and Awarding Body standards. Assist in the training, development and certification of NVQ Assessors
-Develop and manage teaching and assessment schedules, discipline the trainees he is responsible for when required, coach and train technicians where required.

Essential Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

-Minimum of a Diploma level qualification in an engineering/technical subject
-Significant relevant industrial experience in the Oil & Gas industry, ie. Engineering & Maintenance (Mechanical & Electrical), Welding and Pipefitting
-Minimum of 3 years training experience for instructors desirable, although teacher training can be provided
-Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills
-Excellent IT & presentation skills / Excellent English Language ability is essential
-Curriculum development and training program delivery experience desirable
