Location:	Welbeck Defence 6th Form College, Woodhouse, Leics
Package:	Negotiable salary depending upon experience and qualifications (up to £21k pa). Contributory pension scheme and life assurance. This is a non-residential appointment.
Contract:	Full time hours, Mon-Fri although some flexibility may be required along with some occasional weekend working - Generally DSFC Academic Year holidays, although there will be a requirement to be available for 3 weeks in August, prior to the college opening for the new term in September.

Description:

Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College opened in September 2005 and replaced the Army Sixth Form College at Welbeck, North Nottinghamshire. TQ Education and Training Ltd are responsible for curriculum and education, the management of all educational learning resources including ICT, library and learning resource facilities, sport and pastoral care. The college is a modern, purpose built technical college with excellent teaching and residential facilities and our students are very well motivated.

The primary responsibility of the Exams Officer & Data Manager is to organise examinations in liaison with examination boards as well as the management, analysis and storage of all associated data. The secondary responsibilities are to organize and administer the 16-19 Bursary Scheme and distance learning courses for the students involved in those programs. Reporting to the Academic VP, the successful candidate will be responsible for :

Organising examinations and providing a full customer service for students
Taking responsibility for and following examination procedures
Assisting staff and students with examination and examination result enquiriesssuing examination results, organising re-sits and sending examination entries to relevant Examination Boards
Ensuring tutors and students are aware of any information pertaining to examinations
Liaising with Examination Boards, outside agencies, moderators and tutors
Take responsibility for organizing invigilation and seating plans for examinations
Be responsible for record keeping, maintenance, analysis and storage of Examination data - manual and computerised record systems
Be responsible for the security of examination materials
Monitoring the class attendances of those students on the 16-19 Bursary scheme
Ensuring that students are aware of the 16-19 Bursary Scheme
Arranging distance learning courses for students who have been approved to study these courses and ensuring that suitable distance learning materials are available for students
Providing financial advice to students who request this for their College studies
Participating in INSET as required and attending any relevant meetings where required

Role requirements:

Essential:

Previous experience in a similar role
Child Protection and Health and Safety Awareness
Excellent ICT skills (MS Office, databases, etc)
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
