Kuwait Ministry of Defence Technical Training School (1994-2000)

TQ was awarded a contract to run the Combined Services Technical School in partnership with the Kuwait Ministry of Defence. The contract included training, support and management of staff, curriculum development and subject delivery to international standards, with translation into and delivery of certain courses in Arabic. The contract required training at two levels. The first year covered foundation courses in mathematics, science, engineering drawing, English, computer science and workshop technology. Students who successfully completed the first year went on to study trade specialisation courses. Under the guidance of the TQ management team in Kuwait and the UK, the Technical School gained approval as a BTEC (Edexcel) Centre and also gained ISO 9001 certification.
