Desert Warrior Maintenance and Support Programme (1997-2003)

In partnership with Alvis Vehicles Ltd, who had a contract to supply and maintain over 250 Tracked Vehicles (Desert Warrior) to the Kuwait Ministry of Defence, TQ were contracted from 1997 to 2003 to recruit and supply vehicle technicians in the areas of mechanical, electrical, turret and armourers, plus a range of support roles, including clerks, storemen, On-the-Job Training (OJT) Translators and Maintenance Trainers. The serviceability requirement of the contract was 95% FMC (Fully Mission Capable), which was always achieved. In support of the contract, TQ arranged visas, medical screening, flights, accommodation, food, clothing and transport for over 100 personnel. For the duration of the contract, staff turnover was less than 2%.
