WELL TEST TOOL

The Target Discovery™ is a fully electric operated coiled tubing conveyed tool for well testing. Its unique design allow build-up shut-in formation testing, flowing of the well, acid stimulation or nitrogen lift to be performed in a single run operation.

The Target DISCOVERY™ is an intelligent downhole tool for well testing. Its unique design allow build-up shutin formation testing, flowing of the well, acid stimulation or nitrogen lift to be performed in a single run operation. A multi-set packer is set above the zone to be tested. Nitrogen can be pumped through the tools flow port if required to assist the well flowing. The multi-cycle electric shutin valve provides instant shutin of the well. Pressure build-up curve is displayed real-time at surface for continuous evaluation of reservoir data. Superior data accuarcy is delivered by taking the measurement at the reservoir combined with quartz sensor accuracy. The Target DISCOVERY™ tool is fully electric operated. All functions are controlled from surface, providing superior operator control.

Real time data transmission to surface

Up to 60% time and cost savings due to “known testing period length”

More and new data available to the end-user, adding “tremendous” value in the early stage of the exploration well reservoir assessment. Extend effective testing periods as beneficial and cut ineffective ones short.

Reservoir stimulation capability while in hole with isolation by setting of packer

Real time evaluation of stimulation effectiveness based on testing results before and after stimulation.

Multiple flowing and shut-in tests in one run

DISCOVERY™ Well Test Tool capability allow testing process of “disruptive” nature, eliminating several time-consuming surface activities, while maximising downhole testing time.

Nitrogen lifting for wells with low bottom hole pressure

Ability to test wells which will not flow by themselves, while saving 30-40% of time by eliminating previously required work.

Ability to transfer well from dead to life status and vice versa several times during one run

Increased safety and flexibility when performing the operation, as circulation is always available above packer.

Availability of contingencies

Several new contingencies available, making the new testing process safer and more predictable, resulting in less risk and cost Circulate well clean in case solids are produced from the reservoir, avoiding tool being “sanded in” due to sand / debris Real-time limitation of differential pressure over packer, while shut-in, without affecting pressure below packer.
