Retarded Acid
Calcite reservoirs are the source of a significant portion of hydrocarbon resources in subterranean formations. Most acid stimulation treatments for carbonate reservoirs, particularly those under high temperatures, encounter a fundamental problem, where the etching rates are so fast that the acid is fully expended before it can penetrate deeper into the formation, resulting in a less effective matrix treatment. Nexus Acid Enhancer regulates the etching rate of Hydrochloric Acid, allowing it to penetrate much deeper into the formation to deliver a more extensive dominant wormhole effect resulting in higher production rates post treatment.
