TAQA’s Internal Audit has received the “Generally Conforms” rating, which stands as the highest rating, following a quality assessment review by the reputable UAE Internal Auditors Association (IAA).
This achievement recognizes the Internal Audit’s methodical and regimented methodology toward their independent, objective assurance and consulting services which are designed to add great value to TAQA. This recognition demonstrates the emphasis TAQA places on prompting a strong framework for corporate governance, and effective internal controls.
The IAA’s tribute is a testament to the company’s conviction that robust control functions help establish the foundations for business growth. Achieving the highest rating also confirms that TAQA is on the right track and is prepared to perform in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. The UAE Internal Auditors Association (UAE IAA) was set up in July 1995, as a non-profit organization.
On 24th of June 2006, the association sought and gained approval to become the official IIA affiliate in the UAE. In 2008 it obtained a license to become the UAE Internal Auditors Association. The Association today has secured the support of leading companies from the UAE who are involved in promoting the profession of Internal Auditing through this medium.
