🌿 Sustainability Award- Oil & Gas Awards Saudi Arabia
🔶 Value Delivery (Cascade3) -OWI Awards, Aberdeen
These awards reflect the values we bring to every project, every partnership, and every hire.
At the Offshore Achievement Awards, TAQA Well Completions received the Collaboration Award for its North Sea Standardisation Initiative (NSSI), which aligns screen design, equipment qualification, and digital tracking across the Norwegian Continental Shelf. By standardising completion components across operators, NSSI reduced equipment lead times from 16–30 weeks to as little as 10–12 weeks. Shared stock and the reuse of 5,202 screen joints have also eliminated 8,244 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to the carbon sequestration of nearly 10,000 acres of forest.
At the same ceremony, TAQA received the Sustainability Award for its AICDs, which regulate reservoir flow and reduce unwanted water and gas production. Real-world results speak for themselves: deployments in Oman achieved a 42% reduction in carbon intensity, while projects in Peru’s Amazon region lowered lifecycle carbon intensity by 56%. Finally, for the same work, our colleague Mojtaba Moradi was recognised at the Middle East Oil & Gas Awards in 2026, maintaining the momentum in this list of recognitions.
At the Oil & Gas Middle East Awards, TAQA Well Completions collected the Highly Commended recognition. TAQA’s submission showcases its use of Autonomous Inflow Control Devices (AICDs) in southern Oman, which optimise oil recovery by managing fluid flow and reducing unwanted water production. Compared to conventional methods, the technology achieved a 180% increase in cumulative oil production, a 30% reduction in water output, a 42% cut in carbon intensity, and a 43% decrease in energy consumption — all while reducing the need for additional wells and surface processing facilities, demonstrating that efficiency and sustainability can go hand in hand.
At the Saudi Arabia Oil & Gas Awards, TAQA Well Completions was recognised for its work in Oman with AICDs.
Finally, at the OWI Global Awards, TAQA received an award for its Cascade 3 product. Cascade3 is a game-changing sand-face screen with integrated check-valve technology that eliminates fines migration and injectivity loss in offshore water-injection wells. Deployed in Field X, Nigeria, it prevented damaging backflow during shut-ins by isolating the reservoir at the source. This innovation has enabled uninterrupted injection of up to 30,000 BWPD, extended well life, and eliminated costly interventions. Built for longevity and harsh environments, Cascade3 delivers a scalable, low CAPEX solution for offshore fields where injectivity, well integrity, and reservoir performance are critical. It redefines sand control by shifting from reactive workovers to proactive, zero-intervention well management.
